With great excitement and enthusiasm, we announce that Women’s Health Consultants will be affiliated with Allina Health as of January 1, 2014. We are confident that the new collaboration will ensure the quality care you have come to expect from us.

We are honored that you have chosen Women’s Health Consultants as your providers, and we remain dedicated to delivering exceptional medical care. We will strive to make the transition as seamless as possible. You will continue to see the providers you know in the same locations.

For clinic visits through December 31, 2013, your billing will come from Women’s Health Consultants. For clinic visits on and after January 1, 2014, your billing will come from Allina Health. Allina Health accepts most insurance plans, but if you have questions regarding your coverage, please contact your health insurance provider.

Women’s Health Consultants is grateful for the solidified relationship with Allina Health, and we look forward to our enhanced ability to improve the quality of your care.

Updated Guidelines for Cervical Cancer Screening

Recently the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology published new cervical cancer screening (pap smear) guidelines. Many of the previous guidelines for screening remain the same. However, one new change is that for low risk women, ages 30 to 65, co-testing with pap smear and HPV (human papilloma virus) testing is recommended and if negative, screening is recommended at 5 year intervals. 

At Women's Health Consultants, we make sure you get the most up-to-date care. Please remember that annual exams are still recommended.

 Abbott Northwestern Hospital is now open!

 

The providers at Women's Health Consultants, P.A. are very happy to be part of the brand-new Mother Baby Center. The Mother Baby Center combines the best specialists, equipment, and services from Abbott Northwestern Hospital and Children's Hospitals and Clinics of Minnesota.

This state-of-the-art facility aims to treat mothers and babies as an "unbreakable pair" by providing them with access to the best OB, perinatal, and neonatal care.  Prenatal and nursing courses are available to ensure mothers and families feel as prepared as possible for labor, delivery, and the transition back home.  The Mother Baby Center can also provide support for new arrivals through access to genetic counselors, lactation consultants, and pediatric care.
